I have an '06 Ford Fusion with bad engine whine on the AM dial only. It's so bad that it completely drowns out what I'm trying to listen to. The problem didn't start until after I installed an aftermarket radio. The car has a rear window antenna and I know for a fact that the antenna booster is hooked up. Normally I would think this is a ground issue, but the problem only exists on the AM dial (no problems with FM radio, CD player or MP3 player). Got any ideas how to eliminate the noise?
